Re: David's journal
Today was much better discipline wise. Waited all day for market to move and after FOMC a trend appeared. Took 2 trades, a BE and a win. Good stuff
Proud of myself for sticking to the rules and its even better when account goes up while doing so

Re: David's journal
3rd day of my 3 month challenge. I was patient, took good setups but market wasnt offering much. Traded the afternoon session on us30 which offered 2 decent setups but didnt work out. Closed the day with 1 BE and 2 rents.
Im satisfied with my trading and discipline today even though I got -2R. Its just one of those days.
For the week (beginning wednesday, the first day of my 3 month challenge) im at +3R. Hopefully next week we get some good PA and more setups. Last 2 days have been rather slow...
Goal for next week: 5 consecutive days of 100% disciplined trading.

Re: David's journal
Today im disapointed with my lack of discipline. Account went up 4.5R and thats a dangerous thing. Being rewarded when not doing what I should be doing is risky business. I need to mechanically apply my trading plan and stop bending rules.

Re: David's journal
Today I took good trades but ended up with 3 rents. Plenty of good opportunities today but I happened to be trading during the rents and the good ones that worked out happened while I wasnt at my desk. Shit happens, at least I know I took good signals and did everything I had to do. Tomorrow will be better.

Re: David's journal
Not very good setups but good discipline in terms of quitting after 3% daily stop loss getting hit. If you don't have 2hr or at least 1hr slot during proper trading hrs don't trade. Chillax.
E.g. if you plan ahead, last night you'd have seen that there are some strong US news scheduled so you could plan to trade near those hours. but if not available you'd say well i'm not gonna trade after London is closed and markets have moved so better do other stuff and be more productive. etc etc

Not very good setups? Why is that? I thought these were good setups... Maybe thats the reason im not getting 33% win.

Re: David's journal
Wednesday gave me a nice 3.5R but I let greed take over and missed 1R by not closing a trade at 2R which then retraced so closed manually at 1R.

Re: David's journal
Thursday -3R. Interesting fact: I made 3R worth of mistakes... Something to watch very closely.
Shit discipline today. Kept trading past my daily SL and I made mistakes. This is unacceptable behavior.

Re: David's journal
hope the following pictures helps. The concept of eWave too big and too late the wave and the "position of the setup of seed within the wave on m5" will always apply.azadar wrote:Not very good setups? Why is that? I thought these were good setups... Maybe thats the reason im not getting 33% win.
and Trade within NYO and NEO 1hr each. If you can't make it DON'T TRADE. this is the promise of the three months. I'm on your case buddy!
