Mickey's Journal
Yes I'm not a great fan of Henry, mainly because he gives a free currency strength
indi that neither works nor can it be uninstalled. some have speculated that he wants
it planted in your PC for sinister reasons. Hopefully thats not true.
However if you check out James Edwards Currency Strength Program on FPA
you will see a very different story - 97 reviews, all glowing reviews from customers
who have paid up to $10,000 for his full program, the only mild dissenter is someone
who hasn't bought the program. , I really hope they are not all bogus reviews
although its possible Andrew Mitcham's Currency Strength Program is similarly
well regarded.
I personally didn't like JE's Currency Strength system very much at all. Price doesn't
especially seem to follow currency strength.
Ironically JE doesn't actually claim his currency strength system is particularly
good and I think his students trust him because he is so heavily influenced
by Mark Douglas - so why not just buy 'Trading the Zone' for £20 and save
£9,980! Wouldn't that be in their best interest?
As regards AIMS News strategy this is what I trade. My three currency
strength meters when confluent simply help determine the choice of optimum
currency pair. Nothing more.

Re: Mickey's Journal
I find all information in that one second when it spikes.that's all that matters. What was the price when it spiked where is it now. What was price before spike and price other currencies is all BS to me.IMHO

Re: Mickey's Journal
You are quite likely right about this.
if polarization of CS is a reliable guide
to which direction news spike will be heading,
then I have found the ultimate 'Holy Grail'!
I seriously doubt that I have ( see signature )

Immy,
The most successful or Fruitful Fruits appear to be when they appear at the top or bottom of an Aims box.
Is that a fair comment or something I'm imagining in hindsight after the box has been drawn??
kooky

Now some killjoys might cry 'insufficient data' but
does anyone else notice a pattern in the above results
S1/S2 Sequence 1 Campaign 2 EURUSD -11
( placed stop inside AIMS box as I 'knew' price would not re enter box )
It did!
Lesson I know nothing! Beware of overconfidence
S1/S2 Sequence 1 Campaign 3 EURUSD -19
S1/S2 Sequence 1 Campaign 4 EURGBP +25 +Add on + 8 Total +33
No News spike at 11am but I traded a very strong Euro against a plummeting GBP
Comment My first Frankfurt Open. Made a special effort. I met a Chinese
man at a seminar who trades for a living. He didn't really want to talk as his English was
very limited. I eventually dragged out of him that he made 15% - 20% profit per month,
he didn't use indicators, he specialised in one currency AND he worked very set hours from
7am GMT to 10am GMT. He really wasn't trying to impress anyone and wasn't exactly the life
and soul of the party - but I noted at the time he seemed to be the model of consistency
and disciplined enough to get up early for what I only now know was for the Frankfurt Open.
Model Success!
As I write my DAX Fruit seems to be taking off. If I had slept in I would have missed that -
Quote - 'Successful people always do the things that unsuccessful people don't want to do'
When my sales manager shared that with me I thought it sounded rather trite and too obvious
to be very profound - but it is quite profound in its own simple way. The herd do not want
to get out of bed earlier than they need to. Freud put it in a very trite way too ' People always
move from a position of discomfort to a position of comfort' ( thats the gist anyway ) but
a little discomfort can pay really well! - along with consistency -
When I was a Will Writer in the UK I was struggling as most were, its hard to get sales leads.
But one way was to put up a display at market stalls. That meant getting up at 5am - far earlier
than FO. But I got hundreds of leads and the business really took off. Oh and I should mention
that sometimes after all the discomfort of getting up, paying petrol and stall fees, it would then
rain all day and I would get nothing! That would be a rent day!
Chris Howard always says ' Successful people have the habit of showing up' -another truism
and another gem 'People form habits and habits form futures'
Discipline and Consistency!
I want to get on with some more 'Trading the Zone today, and review what I have already
covered and make notes.
You know, I don't know if overall I will win or lose today but I have seen definite price movement
and I feel a real sense of satisfaction in getting up early. I actually feel more like a pro trader.
