Re: Brenda's Journal
Hi Brenda
I am really pleased to see your charts. Reason being, you're doing it, and recording it. This suggests to me that you will learn very soon and you will stop making these mistakes. You will gain better understanding of the market and the setup. Gradually your intuition may improve as well and some how you'd come to your charts when there are good opportunities and walk away otherwise. You may be in tune with the market/universe by t hen and may enter the zone. in order to achieve that you would need patience and discipline. Remember we live a universe of inclusion, focus on what you WANT not what you Do-not want. Too much focus on negative trades may bring more of those to you so the best way forward is to imagine, visualise and repeat the good trades and ignore the bad ones. Like attracts like!
wish you good luck and may the pips be with you
Great Weekend to you and everyone else!

Re: Brenda's Journal
Just happened to be at computer and saw this one. It's later than I normally take trades so went in with 1/2 my normal size. Of course...it's the one that works out, my luck this week! But it's still nice to end the week on a positive note :-bd

Re: Brenda's Journal
Hi Brenda,
Curious thing that you posted your results of your winning trade right after Immy mentioned what kind of attention one should be thinking about…
Trading 1/2 of what I usually do is a great way of being indifferent to the trades outcome, one half of one percent is what I'll start out with and that position size should help keep the emotions in check.
Great journal very focused!!! And your quote from Will Smith says it all.

Had a long talk with myself yesterday.
Decided I was way too emotional about losing trades. Today I dropped my position size from 1% to .5%. Thanks to Bruce H for the suggestion. Felt more relaxed. I definitely need to pick an exit strategy and stick with it. Hopefully dropping the position size will help me let the winners run!

Only took one trade today. Didn't feel confidant about it because the US news had just come out and the big fast move right before it. But I took it any way. I'm still working on only taking trades that I feel really good about. I always feel like I will have regret if I don't take it and it moves really well but usually I'm full of regret cause it doesn't work out.

Re: Brenda's Journal
Hi Brenda I had a rough day too (learning days I like to call them
) suffering from taking less than perfect setups, so you are not alone.
I have last night resolved to only take setups that conform precisely to the rules of the flow chart and not add anything or ignore the odd little rule.
My daily mantra has been amended to incorporate this.
Keep going we will master this
Mike
