Trade management could of been better as I usually tighten my trail stop to 15 pips past 50 pips (1%) but got distracted with a big bowl of spaghetti bol.

23-3-12,
It truly is a great feeling, you can see it forming, wave 3 rolls through - you've missed it but something says this move isn't done yet, it retraces and the 5 min high on steves indicator sets itself as the first hurdle - You set your PO 3 pips above it, like so many times before it confirms wave 4 with a small break of the 0 line and we wait for wave 5, it's Friday arv and I've just cracked the top off another coldie - Chink - I'm triggered -Bamn it goes up - up - up - TP hit. In disbelief I look - did that just happen - yep 19 pips - 1.9%, weekly aim achieved in 1 trade and then it dawns on me - that's all I need to do - 2% a week. That cold beer tasted so good after that trade.

That's Brilliant Tony.
I like the description. Your posts always bring a smile to my face.
If it hadn't have shot up so fast would you still have used your spagetti TM system?
Have a great weekend.
Richard

Re: Humpha's big wave journal
Richard,
The spaghetti trade management can always be improved. I wasn't planning on trading at all on Friday and thankfully an early knock off allowed me to mow the grass and clean the car and sat back with a smile on the face as I knew I had all weekend to chill with the kids on the beach - the wife took the kids down the shop so I cracked a coldie and thought I'd have a quick look at the charts and not 10 minutes later the set-up happened - bam - nailed the 19 pips and then turned the computer off. It was the greatest feeling as we have been putting in the hard yards to become proficient at aims. The Peroni Leggera just topped it all off at the end of the working week.
Half of trading really is the mind game!

Re: Humpha's big wave journal
26-3-12 eur/jpy 1hr trade,
Following my new rules of only trading in the same direction of the 4hr chart. Reason for taking trade, the 1hr had retraced to the purple on the H4 chart and looked to be gaining momentum to the upside. 1 hr close to AO - orange bars - looking for possible new wave 3 up - entry after break of aims box. On 4hr chart purple to upside looking for possible new 3, AO coming back to 0 line. Trade hit target of 50 pips 1% so tightened trailing stop to 15pips. Trade was now a solid 1 mtr swell and continued to 80 pips, 1.6%. 1hr chart below. :-bd
Traded 1m charts for LO on 26-3-12 - no trades
