ssotiro wrote:This is the first trade of this morning. Missed the fun yesterday, but a walk by the sea was a very good idea.

Anyway, I moved SL to BE+5 and this was my gain, as the trade turned.

Happy trading all. I hope I will come back with more "green" trades.

This was a good setup. M5 alligator was just opening and price was attemtpting to break out of the first AIMS level below gators mouth. My favourite type of setup. Double Arrows (beta) setup caught at the last second when Grant called it (thanks) thought I had my pending a few pips away, I first put a market order at 17 and then quickly cancelled the other PO. I think I managed it well, I stayed through the retrace. Moved to Break Even first after 10 pips, mind was not easy, because I had two break evens before this on GU and EJ, so was not very comfortable later moved to +3 after new AIMS Box was formed and took 14.

Well Done (wd)

Thanks a lot Immy both for the encouragement and the system.

I still need to be able to identify the setups more quickly than I do now. With practice, I will get there.

Happy trading.

Edit to ask: What would be the "too close" distance between the 1min and 5min levels when determining which one to use?

if M5 Level is within 5 pips and entry level would still be not far from exit, then choose m5 level otherwise m1.

Moreover, if M5 gator is sleeping dont take m1 setup unless M5 has an arrow and price is clearly trending then m1 will give you slightly earlier entry. The law of fractal geometry.

Spyro

Its my pleasure, my job (hate that word though) my passion to talk, watch, eat, drink and sleep trading! So the Pleasure is ALL mine!

Did you catch those end of wave setups? one on GU another on EU! I hope someone did. These are the ones I use Target Points. Becuase M5 levels were good for Target areas. Too another 11.1pips to finish the day with 2.5% up. 2 BE's 2 wins.

I can see that this is your passion and it becoming mine also.

I did not trade at all after this morning's 5 pips. I would probably have not taken any trades anyway. My congratulations to those who did. The news was too "red" for me and they could have turned either way.

Good morning all,

Started the day with a loss of about 8 pips.

Opened short at 1.23695 and exited at 1.23761. What is troubling me is this: my ordered was trigerred when price went exactly at 1.23695 which was my set price. OANDA have a java platform. In their Java platform, the price went as low as 1.23700 which means that my trade should not have been opened.
Do you think I should ask them, or leave it be?

It wouldn't hurt to ask. Ask Ask Ask and Ask more. When you ask, the worst that can happen is you don't get what you want, if you don't ask then you don't get it anyway! :-B

ps: no trades for me so far. The market was not showing any momentum as expected so I stayed on the side lines
