Hi Richard
When you say long term trend, are you specifically talking about M15, H1, H4 or D1 or all of them or some particular combination so as to make your win/loss rate nothing short of astonishing and superbly consistent....being near 90% ?

Regards

Nick
I wish my winning % was 90%. If you look at my last monthly summary you will see it is just under 75%.

I look at all timeframes from M1 up to D1 and note the overall trend. On the htf D1 for example I am more concerned in the past few days although if this is supported by the overall trend all the better.

If all timeframes align then perfect although this is not usually the case. In such situations where they don't I use discretion.

Richard,
Thanks for your response.
When you say overall trend....do you mean Weekly....?
So if I understand you correctly ( which I'm not sure I do as I seem to have some difficulty ) if the D1 trend was up, the H4 was up and the H1, M15 and M5 was down...and there was a potential short opportunity on M1....what might your thinking be ?

Many thanks

Nick

Nick
In this case the bias would most probably be short but with a more conservative GP. Other factors such as sr would be a major contributing factor.

Apologies for the short replies. I am enjoying a nice long weekend on the Scottish West coast and am replying on my phone.

Ah, the west coast. Loved it when i holidayed there. Train ride to Mallaig, stayed at Oban (lovely whisky) and little trip to Mull.

So want to go back

Stayed in Oban last night. On my way to Kilcamb Lodge in Strontian at present.
It is a beautiful part of the world and come here 2 or 3 times a year.

I stayed at kilchrenan house on the waters edge along the esplanade a bit. Only for 3 nights, then on to Callendar.

Enjoy your time there. Truly magnificent place :)

Hey Richard. Tabbing this from my tablet. Nice trading. You seem to have upped your trading lately. not that anything was of any lesser magnitude previously. I love your S/R interaction and black dot trades. Keep it up. An inspiration for many. as well as me as always.
