Re: PaulF's Journal
I had exactly the same thing happen, about 8:50London time, it wasn't nice, and it only went a pip or something higher before resuming the downward path.

I wish more people would come on here to share something on their journals

Re: PaulF's Journal
Hi Paul, I filtered this one because of open alligator and old AO. Would have taken this one under M5 AIMS level if setting a PO. The next DA looked much better from setup point of view. Have fun even though there are rents also!

Re: PaulF's Journal
Morning Paul...
if i may just make 1 observation and i know this is in hindsight, your entry was 2/3 pips above the m5 AND m15 levels.... i know some members pay no notice to these but if you had waited for the next set up your entry would have been below them both....
just something to think about
cheers

Re: PaulF's Journal
If I may comment Paul...technically this was ok...only ok...
1. Your initial sl looked too far +15 pips away or so. While you did move it up and were only stopped out for -6...the initial SL is used as a trade entry criteria...ie 15 is too far and so this should not be a trade you take.
2. I might suggest that the more " attractive " set ups are when w3 into w4 are flatter price action...this is tied to point 1.
By this I mean in this case the price retraced quite hard and steeply...so had to use a lot of energy to get up past the fractal...tagging you in and not going much further.
So I would agree with you...if you take a lot of trades like this then this will be the usual outcome.
Small adjustments which might seem trivial and technical, will yield a large change of results over time and a statistically significant number of trades.
Just something to keep in mind.
best
Nick

Wow.... I have two monitors and it turns out that screenshots on one of them are in that washed out colour. I've never noticed that before.... Here's the previous trade in colour:
