Trade campaign 6/2

Summary
  • Entry : Fruit + Box breakout + Box breakout + Box breakout + Box breakout
    Risk: 21.2 P + 43.2 P + 35.9 P + 42.9 P + 62.3 P
    Exit: Box trail
    Result: 94 P + 71.5 P + 38.8 P + 11.9 P - 18.7 P = 197.5 P, 4.43 R + 1.66 R + 1.08 P + 0.28 R - 0.3 R = 7.15 R
    DS: 1
About the campaign
  • Adams Apple into Wave 5 down, worked out pretty well.
Trend on D1 was down, too, so I was quite convinced of the quality of these entries.

By the way: "Box trail" means AIMS-Level (+ Spread) + (-) 10 Pips.
This gives price some room to breath before hitting the trailed SL.

Thank you, Sam.
Concerning your question: this is a small live account, yes.
With real money on the line, my discipline and concentration should increase.
In theory, at least ;) .

Trade campaign 7/2

Summary
  • Entry: Fruit + Momentum Add-On + Box breakout + Box breakout + Box breakout
    Risk: 21.3 P + 44.1 P + 60.5 P + 66.8 P + 38.8 P
    Exit: Box trail
    Result: 55.3 P + 32.5 P + 16.1 P + 9.6 P - 35.4 P = 81.1 P, 2.6 R + 0.74 R + 0.27 R + 0.14 R - 0.91 R = 2.84 R
    DS: 1
About the campaign
  • Alligator on D1 was open wide, as price made some decent movement into a possible new Wave 3 up.
Thereof, I tried to catch its Wave 4 down on H1, as the Wave 3 up was pretty extended, too.
As price started to turn around within Fibonaccis retracement levels 38.2 % and 50.0 %, trailing the Box costed me some pips here.
Never mind, I sticked to my Trading Plan.

Trade campaign 8/2

Summary
  • Entry: Fruit + Box Add-On
    Risk: 41.3 P + 110.7 P
    Exit: Initial SL
    Result: -48.2 P - 110.9 P = -159.1 P, -1.17 R - 1 R = -2.17 R
    DS: 0
About the campaign
  • Trend on D1 was bearish, Alligator open to the downside and price in a possible Wave 3 down.
This was my attempt to catch the Wave 4 on H1 of the Wave 3 on D1 (why not wait for a confirmed Wave 4 and target the following Wave 5? :-? ).
Price entered Stage 2 quite fast, but never proceeded into Stage 3.
    I missed the Momentum Add-On (DS = 0).

Hey Thomas, that is rather poor management of SL there. The price moved hundreds of pips in your favour in a very impulse fashion. And the pair is under severe pressure from all sorts of stuff happening around it. You had to take the information into account specially the way those long volatile bars were different to normal. And when gator was going into a new wave 5 down, you'd definitely have got out with a little profit or a technical break even.

More on this in skype if you like.

ps: there are TWO massive Bearish Bars in there. that should tell you something.

You're absolutely right, Immy. This campaign should have never ended in negative.
But, to be honest, I had no idea what to do, when these massive bars appeared.
Apparently, my mind was clogged with "not yet in Stage 3" and "don't cut possible profits".
At least a Box trail should have been apllied, considering the markets environment these days.

Well, that's the kind of stuff, a newbie like me has to deal with ;) .

Trade campaign 9/2

Summary
  • Entry: Box breakout + Box Add-On
    Risk: 21.5 P + 43 P
    Exit: Box trail
    Result: 1 P - 28.7 P = -27.7 P, 0.05 R - 0.67 R = -0.62 R
    DS: 1
About the campaign
  • A few days prior to this trades, a bearish Fruit showed up on D1, so I supposed price was going into a Wave 5 down there.
On H1, meanwhile, I tried to catch a Wave 5 down, after breakout of a tight box with sleeping Alligator inside it.

Trade campaign 10/2

Summary
  • Entry: Fruit
    Risk: 16.8 P
    Exit: Initial SL
    Result: -16.7 P, -0.99 R
    DS : 1
About the campaign
  • This was the second attempt to catch a Wave 5 down (background and first attempt see "Trade campaign 9/2").
Technically nothing wrong, however there was no real structure in the market.
I should have skipped this trade, but was in my "this and that MUST happen" mood.

I'd like to suggest a little tweak to position Sizing. Fruit Campaign starts two ways. Half of the campaigns are Fruit initiated other half, you'll find out actually start with a good Break below/above a sleeping gator. The first entry is ALWAYS a lower probability reversal or breakout. It makes sense to go the lightest/smallest lot on the first entry, as the risk of rent is higher and go double the size of that entry on the first add on and then if it permit add on more time the same size as the first entry. Making sure the 3 entries are not too far from each other. Its ok if they are too close to each other, that makes us bigger winners but too far from each other could bring our AVERAGE PRICE worse. Hope it makes sense.

keep going, keep recording and keep going forward.
