I think this trade was ok, if you look now in hindsight you will see that purple was a bit too far away, it was almost a B/E never mind, next.

I think you trade lovely, you pick up the 3 & 4 just like me, and work towards wave 5 TZ1, when I saw your TP I knew you'll be fine by just doing this.

It was a Good Setup, we only judge our setup based on what is on the chart at the time of taking the PO. what happens afterwards is out of our control.
good trade.

Judging from the orange bars on your AIMS wave i think you have missed watching one of the introductory videos where I discuss indicator settings.

Stage 1 Setup 1- T20 Batch 01 - Trade Number 15

Trading details –
Timeframe – H1
Currency Pair – GBPUSD
Date – 24th Nov

Reason for taking the trade –
• Alligator sleeping / intertwined
• Acceptable AIMS Box size
• Clear W3 and W4
• H4 is in up trend - possibly forming W3. Price retraced and bounced off the green line upward direction. Seed signal as well.

H4 - GBPUSD
H4 C.png
Moved SL to BE

TP was at TZ1. Price touched TZ1 and reversed then

Risk - 20 Pips
Result - 2R

I took this trade as overall setup/ visuals looked good to me. Clear W3 and W4. H4 was on W3 and Daily was on W5.
However I am not sure if we can trade Setup 1 with Alligator in situation like this. Please let me know your suggestions.

Clint

Hi Client.

A few things came to mind so I thought I share:

1.) I see how you look at H4 for hunt signals "for confluence", (I do the same as you know) the hunt signals on H4 were within the 3rd peak, so lower probability, the first and second peak are the nice ones.

2.) The first blue dot was clearly too far from purple, H4 had already quite a run, therefore time for a little retrace, which I learned with my batches as I went along.

3.) In regards to aligator, I used to have the same questions lol, I like to see my green and red line crossed, I'd say by the time you would have gotten triggered (second blue dot) it would have crossed. In fact I took the second blue dot and it was a BE trade for me. I will post my trade here for you.

4.) When you go through you batches you will get a feel for gator, its also a visual thing after time, but having red and green interwinted/crossed has helped me a lot.

5.) The levels to the left or peak of wave 3 which is H4 levels as you know, shows resistance, however as long as I can get it to BE I will take the trade, so make sure in future there is e.g 1R room for that.
