With reference to this picture, are there any techniques or methods that would have kept you out of losing fruit entries in the big downtrend, around 21 Feb? I know that no system is 100% and there are always some losers, but just thought it worth asking. Thanks

aren't they all add ons and huge profits from the fruit at the top??

The Seeds are add ons with the trend but The Fruit are reversal candles, so potential long entries.

Good question. Just like we don't take every setup, and we don't take every seed, we don't take all the reversal signals as well. You'd consider taking a reversal entry when you understand that this could be the end of the trend, so you look for The Fruit Entry.

In this picture, you'd be short from the THE Fruit, pin bar at the top, you have added on at classic breakout, and The Seeds, may be 2-3 or even 5 entries. you are in the mode of letting it run, you are not taking "reversal" or not using the reversal signals as exits, "Until it really pulls away from the Gator lines", you are accumulating profits and enjoying it.

So from that point of view you'd have not taken any or many losses. But if you took each signal mechanically then it was a different issue. Just because a signal is there does not mean you have to take it. If we can make a perfect mechanical system, we'd just give it to Steve, he'd code it and we'll book a jet to the Bahamas!

I've downloaded template -seeds but i dont get this candles called 'seeds'i mean i just got green and red bars.where should i put this two files ": seeds and fruit in mt4/expert/indicators?

I prefer this strategy because it's better suits my time as i got day job :/

I've noticed strange thing :
I see now that this seed and fruit are added automatically to the chart when i use your template.Problem starts if i want to switch tf to any lower my mt4 just shuts down every time.If i delete the seed and fruit from indicator list on a chart then i can switch TF without problems...
My bars still doesnt change to blue when it is and inside bar or doji

The .tpl file, as usual goes in mt4/templates and the .ex4 files go into mt4/expert/indicators? .

You may have older version Build of MT4, we are running Build 500 what is yours?

moreover, the template is there for people who'd like to have a different look, or start afresh, if you're already used to something different you may want to or you may not want to add the Seed (Inside Bar) option only, (v1.5) allows you to switch off the Zone Trade bars. etc etc, different combination. SUCCESSFUL TRADING DOES NOT DEPEND ON YOUR TEMPLATE BUT ON THE CONCEPT AND ITS CONSISTENT APPLICATION.
