Aug 13, follow up of EJ trade

- Very good trade so far (90+ PIPS) and 0.5% still running (chart below)

Comments:
- I DID NOT take 2 "good" SEEDS, since I followed strictly my money management. Was I right, wrong? I have kind of regret, yet I want to be convinced I did right ))) Well this time it seems I did wrong, since price was positively going up, but but but I am a weak guy, and if I break the rule once, I will keep on break it again and again...

Aug 13, Afternoon trade

- follow up of EJ
- finally a perfect entry opportunity with a SEED just "during" a retracement! So tak 2x0.5% positions, triggered already (chart below)

- Long time before getting an opportunity to add. The good things:
> I was pretty much sure that there will be an opportunity to add
> Clear entry rules + indicators help a lot to be patient = when price retraces, you are tempted to jump in, saying to yourself "well it has retraced enough, now I can jump in..." With clear entry rules, unbreakable rules, this is just NOT possible...Unless you cheat yourself )))

- I had a close look at some FRUITS today (you know I check charts every hour, so in between have to time to "learn" a bit...or just relax...) It appears to me as a kind of BET, well with some grounded reasons to take it indeed...So I need to still dig a bit into it to have a perfect conviction (as with SEED)

Aug 14, morning trade

- Still EJ. Good luck = was about to be stopped out...but luckily still in
- A very good opportunity to add. Did not do so to comply to money management rules...
- so far 110+ PIPS, 0.5% free trade, total of 1.5% trade
- moved down to H30 where W4 os clearly defined
- TGT 131.051+

- I am used to follow one trade at a time. Will try today to find a good trade opportunity, and take it, thus following 2 trades at the same time...We'll see...

Aug 14, afternoon trade

- flat day today...
- no new trade, until EJ unfolds one way or the other...
- EJ did not do that much today -well it did a bit against me but still in...

- to exit or to stay that is the question ))) I make the decision to stay in...we'll see next how this unfolds
- looking backwards I see few opportunities I missed. One option would have been to exit, then take these brand new opportunities. Will do so in the future, definitely...Specially when "my" pair did not move much...

Aug 15, end of EJ trade

- Should have been destroyed by this trade since I made BIG MISTAKES (see chart below)
- By PURE MIRACLE trade ends up with a very good profit

- I followed up strictly money management rules
- I broke my exit rule = why did I not exit while there were clear exit signals???
- I broke my SL rule = why did I place my SL where it was???
- I will dig to understand why I did so. This is really MY MIND telling me at that precise moment "don't do it.."
- Yet this is my third very profitable week in a row
- I've never NEVER had such success (well this time it was really by miracle, since this trade could have destroyed me some how...

- I have found some tools which I think could be helpful. I'll post them in the "want to share something" part of this blog

- Also I have one question on FRUIT. I'll post it on the "FRUIT" section of this blog

I'll take a looooonnnnnng WE...Have a wonderful end of week as well as WE. See you next Monday

- Enter NJ LONG upon a SEED 2 x 0.5%
- Exit half @1:1
- Add 2 x 0.5% upon next SEED
- Exit half of this add @1:1
- Move up SL of remaining 2 x 0.5%, both free trades

- I spent time over the WE to understand the "WHY's" of my mistakes last week. Got a very clear answer = I've been trying to do very complicated things, adding this, removing that, adding new rules, tweaking rules, etc. In a word NOT STICKING TO THE BASIC RULES
- So now, JUST BACK TO BASICS!!! BACK TO RAW @ SIMPLE BASICS...
- And you know what??? I'm happy (happier than Droopy ))) )

A friendly advice... Stop playing with indicators. Just Stick to the ones that are working for you. You have to train your mind to see the same colours and patterns over and over. if you keep changing colours and indicators your training is going to take another decade. Cheers... (forgive me if I was blunt but I sensed that you are trying to find that illusive holy grail indicator... it does not exits... but we have one inside of us :ymdaydream: \m/ )

Hi Immy,

thx very much for your advice! Not only is it firendly, but it is VERY VERY WISE!!! This is exactly what I meant in my last post "trying to tweak, to...to..."...uselessly, since the System works perfectly.

On ething I did not know was the importance of the layout of my chart (colours etc.)...until your post. Then I move back to my regular chart, and yes it makes a difference, well not dramatic, but clearly it make a difference.

Once more thx very much for your advice; I truely need this...I was about to be lost -end of last week- now I do know I'm fully back on track...
