Re: Tracker's Journal
The morning session was really nice. Good short trade. I did what had to be done, even if the long and SAR did not work. I had the feeling that the SAR would not work, but when to trust the feeling here and when not. I don't want to not take it out of fear. I think that will develop over time, to know when to trust your feeling.
Then a nice AA Fruit short which got me some Pips, but also my first mistake in the new batch. I trailed the candles, and the motivation for that clearly was the vision of the market all of a sudden shooting upwards. More discipline would have gotten me 16 more Pips. I really have to work on those exits.
The afternoon session started at 14:30 for me. Took the Fruit at NYSE open long. SAR got me into that nice short move that followed. Closed on trailing candles. No Fruit on the bottom there, so I took the next Fruit long a nice 1-2 Setup. Trailed the candles as it got back into the gator and again have been little to close with my SL there. AA Fruit short and Add On got stopped out for - 29.6 Pips after a PC had formed. Should have maybe closed it just above the green line. Another Fruit short and SAR. Closed that SAR below the Fruit after price had pulled away from the gator. That upmove had chewed me up a little so I stopped trading. Looking at it now not a wise decision.
Anyhow I have the feeling that I have been much more in tune with the market lately so I am pretty happy with the last few days.
Camp 119: Fruit Short
Trade 1: Fruit + 50.5 Pips
Trade 2: Add On + 24.5 Pips

Re: Tracker's Journal
Thank you Immy. I think I am moving forward and I can feel how being disciplined stabilises me while I am trading.
I did two counts for batch # 6.
The first is the initial entry in to a campaign. 18 Entries where good setups and 2 where not good.
The second is the exits. 15 Exits where good and 5 where not good. Mostly because I moved my SL to close and then got kicked out of a trade that became a nice winner 2 minutes later. Some where technically OK, but a little more discretion could have gotten me some more pips for very little risk. I am talking about situations where AL and green line are very close and I choose the tighter SL.
A question about PC and SL. If you look at campaign 126 an AA Fruit Short with Add On. A PC had formed and it went against me stopping me out at the other side of the Fruit.
Am I right to assume, that after a PC has formed the probabilities have changed!? So closing the trade above the bar that confirmed the PC would be ok? I know that that does not decide about winning or loosing in the end, but if it saves a few pips...
Best regards, Tracker

Re: Tracker's Journal
Hi Tracker
I think what you're doing is great but every now and then you become too technical about it and you want to do better than what's possible. You want to improve your results. I want to re-emphasise the importance of this T20 principle. You are not trying to recreate a better way of trading neither are you trying to test the system. What you're doing is what you should be doing in your stage of trading which is the Mechanical Stage. Simple variables , less variables and less options so that you have less to chose from hence making the decision process very objective unambiguous and crystal clear. So back to the original plan.
How to Enter the Market
Method 1. The Fruit
Initial Entry: Warren buffett says, "never test the depth of river with both feet". So
Smaller Position: Initial Fruit with angle
Add on Similar or Double the size at Next available aims level (use flat for this exercise)
How to manage Fruit plus 1 add on campaigns:
Stage 1. SL stays above fruit for sell and below fruit for buy trades.
Stage 2. This stage is a bit tricky but simply using AIMS levels for the purpose of this exercise will do the trick.
Stage 3. Follow the green line unless green line is too far and would mean giving back too much profit. in that case use Fruit with angle to take profits.
Method 2.
Use the classic method. Which means any aims level above or below gator can be taken to start a campaign.
Add on is must, add on at the next available historic or frech aims level.
How to manage it: This trade is taken in Stage 3 so mange as above mentioned
SAR: A Fruit is often taken within a trend so if you're proven wrong it would make sense to go with the flow of the market and reverse positions. and since SAR is taken in the direction of the RESUMPTION Of the trend, meaning STage 3 so you will manage it as Stage 3.
The above is the Summary of FRUIT Trading . Here for you for FREE. Why did I repeat it? i love it and I love repeating what I love.
...... the moral of the story is: forget PC, forget eWave counts, forget fancy stuff. Follow the method and follow it Methodically and Mechanically. One you've stayed consistently successful for at least 6 months then we can talk about "a little bit of discretion" as you mentioned above. Don't let the lefty create problems. You don't need discretion to become successful you need DISCIPLINE and PATIENCES so that you can achieve Consistency. The ultimate goal of your trading at this stage is to achieve Consistency.

Re: Tracker's Journal
Thank you Immy for summing it all up again. It can't be repeated often enough. You are right once in a while I start that thought process again that tries to make it more exact, forgetting that the best thing is to keep it as simple as possible. Thanks for reminding me!
Thanks Michael. I should have started it much earlier. Really helps me now to look back at what I did an narrow down the things that I have to work on.
And I am always looking forward to reading the comments on my trades.
Your journal and the way you improved your trading inspired me to get going with mine.
Trading without keeping a journal is really a waste of time.
Cheers Tracker

Re: Tracker's Journal
The morning session started pretty good. Fruit long didn't work, but the SAR got me into the nice down move. Should have closed it after the second push down, but stayed with trailing candles, as I am aiming for consistency at the moment. Nice AA Fruit short, but got kicked out before it went down. Lost a good many Pips there, but it was according to the rules and that is what counts. Another long Fruit plus Add On and again turned around. Should have SARd that Fruit and Add On. Instead I took the next Fruit Long, SARd it and squeezed and Add On in. Made good for some Pips at least. Next Fruit should have been taken long, but didn't take it. Took the 10:28 Fruit (1-2) and an Add On again. Didn't make it either. Had to Stop trading and attend to other business. A nice AA Fruit, that's what would have done the trick for the nice down move that followed.
The afternoon session was little more satisfying then the morning session. Started with a Fruit long and SARd it. Looking at it now I should have trailed the candles with the SAR. Not totally in accordance with the plan, but after that long bar it might have been ok. Anyhow the latest I should have closed it was below the green line there. There was a little hopping for it to go up again. Don't hope, trade!!! Took the breakout after that wannabe Fruit up there after Immy explained it was a valid part of the system. SL was above the swing high which is now an AL. Than finally today a nice AA Fruit Long with Add On that I exited on trailing the candles. Another AA Fruit long, that made it thru the gator. Could, and maybe should have closed it below the green line. At least I should have played it both ways from the small Short Fruit for another 24 pips in the short trade.
Camp 129: Fruit Long
Trade 1: Fruit - 10.0 Pips
Trade 2: Add On - 19.0 Pips
Camp 130: SAR Short (If I SAR on a Fruit with Add On, should I double my position!?) (Was really tempted to close it after that last push down)
Trade 1: SAR + 36.8 Pips
Camp 131: Fruit AA Short
Trade 1: Fruit - 12.0 Pips
Camp 132: SAR Long
Trade 1: SAR - 20.7 Pips
Camp 133: Fruit Long (Fruits & Add On that get stopped out really hurt, but it's all part of the game. Next)
Trade 1: Fruit - 13.7 Pips
Trade 2: Add On - 22.0 Pips
Didn't pay attention to my Pip count; should have stopped trading here!!!!
Camp 134: Fruit Long
Trade 1: Fruit - 15.0 Pips
Camp 135: SAR Short
Trade 1: SAR + 15.5 Pips
Trade 2: Add On + 9.4 Pips
Camp 136: Fruit Long
Trade 1: Fruit + 3.0 Pips
Trade 2: Add On - 10.0 Pips
Camp 137: Fruit Short
Trade 1: Fruit - 11.5 Pips
Camp 138: SAR Long
Trade 1: SAR - 22.9 Pips
Camp 139: Breakout Short (wannabe Fruit) (must be hit below the red line at an AL of course)
Trade 1: BO + 13.4 Pips
Camp 140: Fruit Long
Trade 1: Fruit + 40.3 Pips
Trade 2: Add On +27.6 Pips
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Result after the 7th batch of 20 Campaigns: + 26.1 Pips Further analysis of that batch will follow; Discipline and so on!!!!
Camp 141: Fruit AA Long
Trade 1: Fruit - 10.9 Pips
Camp 142: SAR Short
Trade 1: SAR + 6.5 Pips

Hi Immy, immy wrote:what is the discipline score for 7th batch?
I think that all of my setups where Ok. On the exit side I think there where 3 faulty ones. A little more discipline there and keeping the stop below AL instead of green line if they are very close could have gotten me 40 Pips more.
Would be nice if you could have a look at my last 20 campaigns and tell me what you think my discipline score is.

The worst where those Fruits with add on that got stopped out for a total loss today. That really cost me some pips.
Cheers, Tracker
