DAX M1
T15/20
Date Entered: 16/02/2018
DS0
M5 open gator long. So long direction. On M1 looked like possible w4 ending, cross of ZL. Placed buy because I thought it was likely to go up.
DS0 because was no blue dot. I thought I saw a setup 1. But not all three gator lines were crossed, so my entry was very premature and not at all in accordance with the rules.

Clearly not a W5 on M1. My thoughts were that M1 was in W3 and M5 was in W3. I saw the red and green cross. I should not have taken this trade.

DAX M1
T17/20

What I saw: M5 in clear uptrend, gator lines open to the upside. Little bit of move sideways towards the green gator line. Price not too far from green though.
On M1 – Blue dot, AO close to ZL.
On Skype Tomi & Jozef mentioned that on M1 the W3 was complete. I can now see what they are talking about with the AO. I didn’t notice the divergence on the AO (viz., peaks getting smaller). I didn’t notice this until Tomi & Jozef pointed it out on Skype. I should have waited until the W3 on M1 was complete and the AO reset before looking for trades.
After seeing what Tomi & Jozef thought on skype I closed the position for a small loss (20% of my R).
On skype Tomi noted that M5 had hit TZ1 and that indicted a turning point – this is something I should consider/note in the future.

My thoughts: All three gator lines together. Blue not entwined with red and green but very close. Red dot, cross of AO. AO close to ZL. W3 complete, W4 present. Good S1.

DAX M1
T19/20

Hooray, a DS1. This one seemed really obvious in that there was a W3 down on M1, pullback W4 and then a red dot, cross of gator lines, cross of AO and AO close to ZL.

Re: Siegrid's Journal
I do not recommend trading m5 during stage 2. You will have to earn the 10 Batches of Trading on H1 before you can choose to go to M5. Period.
ps: or if you're adamant then you will have to follow the T20 method for the M5 and lower time frame.
which is Max 3 Trades per session. If you take 3 trades, you will end the session.
If all 3 are losers, you will have hit MAX daily SL , so you'll quit for the day. IF you're still above the max -3R based on your plan, you can trade the next session after the 2hr break.
If you have one DS0 trade you lose the right to trade the next session. If you have 2 DS0, you will quit for the day and enforce your disciplinary procedures (e.g. for a while it was that I won't have coffee the rest of the day)
and the T20 Batches will have to be counted based on your Daily performance. So if you have followed all the above rules, you will get 1 DS for the day of trading. And thus your T20 batch will last at least 20 days, i.e.e 1 month. It might also include days where you did not trade that day due to no signal but you have followed your trading plan correctly. so in other words you'll run two streams of T20's. One is batches of m1 or m5 trades second is your DS for the day BAtch. that way it will take you around 5 months to get to stage 3. and you will become a disciplined trader for LIFE
cheers

Re: Siegrid's Journal
Hi Immy,
Thank-you for reading. I would really love to take the second option and give M5/M1 a go.
I’m learning so much looking at the DAX every evening and following along on skype in real time as the trades unfold. I don’t understand much of what is said on skype about fruits etc, but when you are all talking about setup 1’s and why you do or don’t like a setup, or would or wouldn’t take a particular trade, right as it’s happening on the screen, it really helps with my understanding.
I understand everything you’ve said above about the rules I have to follow, and doing the two DS batches. It all makes sense.
I’ll finish the batch above tonight (if there is a valid signal) and start the next batch after.
I will be able to do the first session only.
I don’t want to lose the right to trade the next session, so I will be sure to make sure my trades are DS1s!
Again, thanks for the option and the opportunity to learn.
Regards,
Siegrid.

Dax M1
T20/20
Date Entered: 20/02/2018
DS1
On M5 an open gator, uptrend.
On M1 – messy but uptrend. I was waiting for a S1 with a smaller box. I think this one met the S1 criteria, despite being a messy lead up to the setup.

Re: Siegrid's Journal
Here is a summary of the first batch on M1, Setup 1 only.
The discipline score is still not great, only 50%, but it's a vast improvement on the first batch on H1.

Re: Siegrid's Journal
Immy just posted this on skype.
Now I am rethinking that last DS1 I gave myself as it was in the "no smooth wave" section of the chart...
