1.7 pip profit on this trade, my plan was to trail my stop to break even asap which I managed. Then was looking for price to break the 60min high. It never got there and I closed out at the first exit signal. Happy with my trade management there. unfortunatley I wasn't at the screen for the previous long before.

Hey Tom. if you do not mind here is my input. The trade you took had a significant break from price levels on the left. So one can "expect" a bit more move..
Some more weight for me would have been that the two candles before and at blue setup dot bounced off the 200sma. (draw it in to see) and 3rd test of fractal low (3rd box low). Price use these "levels" to kick off the impulse waves (setups) we look for so it's got some nice background scenario.

In my opinion your entry was a bit late, pressing into MM area. In the amended chart i marked 1st and 2nd possible entry and where a box lower - spread would have put your SL. As you can see it places one in more breathing-room for early retracements.

From rough measurement i would place your entry about 4 pips late for earliest possible entry from powder-blue dot fractal break +spread.
Sometimes all we need to hold on in early stage is that extra.... After the fact price did move nicely in your favour. Would have loved to see you bag the pips... :D

Thanks for all the comments so far on my journal,

I have traded aims now for 3 months, my first month was a loss, my 2nd and 3rd months were small profits. I am -8.8 pips in 3 months which is 0.88% for me. (Take out week 1 of month 1 and I would be in profit.) I am starting to feel like I can really nail this with more screen time and discipline. To give myself that extra nudge in the right direction I have set up a small trading account which I will be trading with from today. I think trading on a live account albeit small stakes will keep me sitting on my hands until the right setups come along, if I can do this I've no doubts that I will become a consistantley profitable trader.

Cheers, Tom

Hi Tom,

I am in a similar position as you, I joined in March and can see the potential with AIMS and I am currently approaching the BE level. What I did was to search the web for a decent MT4 broker who would offer a cash bonus once I had credited my account, I found a UK broker who offered me 10% of what I credited thus giving me free money to trade with on a live account. I currently trade with 0.10p on a live account which I think is the best way to start and certainly much better than using a demo account. Once I am consistantly making profits only then will I up my lot size.

Hi all, my first trade on my live account. Trading the smallest size possible until I see results. -7.6 pips on this trade but I won't let it deter me. I trailed the aims boxes and had a stop of -6.1 pips. This wasn't triggered so I manually closed for -7.6 pips. My VE aims are on so I am not sure why, anyway here's the screen shot. All comments welcome =)

Trade 2, -6.7 pips. I have had some bother with my VE aims today so unfortunatley I have taken two losses bigger than I intended. (-14pips today) Think I have rectified the problem with a little bit of help. As always any comments on this trade will be much appreciated.

HI Tom,

I actually filtered your last trade.

You can see on your chart that we already have a 5th wave where price has made a lower low right on the TZ1 so it has qualified the divergence. By qualified i mean price makes lower low and AO makes higher low.

The set up other than that looked good so don't beat yourself up and just say NEXT..

cheers

-4.5 pips on this trade. the trigger candle formed a new aims level and it just couldn't break it. exited ona black dot for a rent. 3 losses today for -18.8pips, i am trading the smallest size possible for now but with correct MM i would be down 1.8%. Still I'm happy with my trading ability and the system, really looking to trade the setups rather than the elliot wave but must remember it's importance as it caught me on the 2nd trade. At the time I was happy with the entry but I must remember to wait for only the best setups.

Cheers, Tom
