trading looks perfectly easy with hindsight! Monday - American holiday, range only 100 pips......

The thing to do would have been to buy around 1200 GMT, sell around 1400 and close around 1600.........

As it happens I took a short entry around 1545, break of m5 aims, AO cross down, and stayed in for about half an hour, and sold when it retraced 10 off the bottom......taking around 40 pips. I can see there was a 'fruit' sale signal soon after the peak of around noon which would far more than have doubled up the gain.

I can see what Immy means about the rubber band and angulation, it is one of those things about charts that needs trained eyeballs, and holds a lot of merit...... I don't know whether distance from gator lips could be represented numerically..................

1% daily gain, compounded for 250 trading days, (approximately one year) would produce 1103% account growth[/center]

Have you forgotten the histogram at the bottom? Peak to Peak... check it visually or numerically your choice! but lets not complicate things again. its simply price away from gator eWave peaking... simple...

For being predominantly a trader of m5 (dax) a lot of patience is needed.
Tuesday morning, big gap up, no s1 signal for me 1 and three quarters hours after FO, some days can be like this, but if I can keep an eye on the screen it's worth waiting for a proper setup and not jumping the starting gun.........

9 45, It eventually did come down, I took 20 pips and got out as I see there's news at 10am, and I didn't want to be exposed to any adverse spikes from that ............ however as is often the case it fell further after I exited!

Anyway thanks for 20 pips :)

In pursuit of less stress and enjoying the nice feelings I'm turning it off for now, 61.9 net pips today, very happy

My last trade was a short, opened about 1350hrs for 36 pips (closed after some retracement), I suppose I was in the trade for about an hour

My current thinking is "to be in a trade for far less time than not in a trade"
But mindful that the higher the time frame, probably the slower you are getting the intended outcome.........

Wednesday, early trend is downwards on Dax, don't know how long it will play out, however as I usually trade m5 on s1 entries I can see the AO is very deep and the alligator is wide open so my best bet is go away for an hour, and think about something else.... I may have chance to do some trading during the day if it sorts itself out. This is when patience is needed and where I have indelibly proven that patience is rewarded.

I would not be surprised if the Fruit counter-trend system would say go long anytime here, but it's not yet my strategy

0945. Came back and had another look, m5 aims box high. Otherwise it almost looked like a long signal around 0925 but gator had not slept properly and yes it's the height of that aims box that detracts. Little surprise therefore that it dropped back after 0930

I suppose it would have been nice to be in short, but I'm happy to wait now. Why do I bother to write this? Not only to talk to myself but maybe to be of some positive influence to others and new members because if you follow the system it works! By acting carefully and patiently yesterday I exceeded a week's target so it does pay to sit and think and not always think you have to be in the market

1300 GMT update
I tried a long trade and although it went right to start with, I was greedy and didn't take the available profit. Paid a rent
Waited for opposite signal. Took the next short. It may have had a small adverse excursion but I pulled out a few minutes ago.
Net result up 14.1 pips.
I might have done far better but it wasn't a bad morning, a profit is a gainful experience.

Before the market printed letters and sentences, the market has already discounted for it... in seconds... and today I was long...

Well done Immy, anyone who was south of the alligator and short was probably slipped a few pips on any stop with that move !

I wasnt watching intensely at the time.

I can see there was a lot of pressure as per your elastic band principles in the 15 minutes prior
