Feeling confident as USDJPY was trending up.
This took a long time to finish the trade. Almost 9 hours. I was happy with myself for letting it run. Seems like other times I have put a trailing SL in and got pushed out too soon.

Great RR 4.5!

One thing worries me though. You didn't have stoploss set when trade initially triggered. Now I don't know if you used some other mechanism but in general trades without stoploss is huge no no no. Never ever set a trade without stoploss. Every trade must have stoploss right in the start when setting pending order.

Hi Tomi,
I always set a stop loss on the pending order. I accidentally deleted my pending order while I was watching the candlestick right before the price moved below the AIMS Box. I had to quickly put another order in, and didn't have a chance to set the SL before it triggered. I took the screenshot before I set the SL. Thanks.

Feeling confident as I recently completed my Trading Plan, and this is my first trade on my new live account. I have dialed back my trade size to 0.25% of my account. I have decided it would be just as beneficial for learning to risk a few dollars as it is to trade a practice account. I am confident in the way the trading platform works, and I am confident in my discipline.

Kevin's Trading Plan

Unread post by tragicallypip »

I have finally completed my in depth trading plan. I used much of the same format as iMi's and also used many of the same strategies. I am only focusing on Setup 1's, and my plan reflects that. I will modify this when my knowledge increases and I start to use more advanced strategies.
Here is Kevin's Trading Plan.

That is a great setup, a great looking setup. The picture was perfect. But for the m15 time frame you have to restrict trades to "the session times where markets remain the most liquid and active". for EU it would be anywhere around FO. For AUD/USD and USD/JPy it might even be around tokyo open but more chances of "money being exchanged" when European banks are active. hope it makes sense.

Feeling positive about the setup. Hindsight says should have waited for a more active market to take trade.
