EU buy for 0.4 pips (SL 14.7, 0.03%). Speaks for itself, buy above M5 high, eWaves showed change of colour and divergence so out without any damage.

Dave, well done, however I think the entry was quite late, I took it wave below at 1.23176 i know it would have been closer to your m5's but i was confident about the trend and hence got in earlier, added on after the consolidation adn then anotehr addon at 1.2322 then at 1.2345 and out with addons at 52 still running the first entry. now its an m5/m15 trade I'll let it run.

Nicely Done Dave, keep it up.

Thanks Immy for your input. With hindsight I can see the earlier entry but I know at the time I wanted to see the price 'into clear space'. That early entry would have given a nice small SL though - and just that initial move would have offered well over the days 1%. NEXT

Tuesday 14 August

A whopping 0.1 pips to start the day's proceedings...

EU buy for 0.1 pips (SL 12 pips, 0.01%). Just showed extra caution with M1 and M5 both showing W5, and before London open, not interested in starting the day with a loss after it didn't really go anywhere and then came back strongly off the high. eWaves showed colour change and divergence.

Thursday 16/8/12

Good morning/afternoon/evening all. Turned on my PC and saw this lovely pull back on M5 and immediately set a PO without hesitation. Turns out I should have paid a little more attention as I'd accidentally set a double entry order, two separate tickets for the same sell level. And I didn't realise until it was too late and both had triggered. Luckily it didn't show any more than 6 pips against and then went on. Added on at the break of the new M1 low.

I wanted to give it a chance to go through the M5/M15 low, but with the BRN just below, and just before London open, and now showing a complete W3/W5 on both M1 and M5 I was happy to close when it retraced a little.

A nice tight SL for the initial entry too!

EU sell for 6.1 pips and 6.1 pips (double entry error) and an add on of 4.2 pips for 16.4 pips total (SL 9.5, 1.73%)

Weekly summary

Again, not a whole lot of chart time, but positive results nonetheless....

4 trades for 25.7 pips, 2.54%

(P.s. If I take an add on I count the initial entry and the add on as just one trade i.e. one setup. So even if I had 50 add ons it'd still be one trade)

Tuesday 21 August

Just one quick in and out for me and a BE result. Trade showed +7ish pips very quickly so I moved my stop to BE and it was all over just as fast on a quick retrace. Don't want to get back into my old habits of closing too early....

EU buy above M5 high, BE

Sorry for the poor photo, trading just with my laptop tonight so didn't have a full setup. In hindsight, the first M1 level after the DA could have given an entry with an option for an add on that together could have given 20+ pips, oh well.... but then again, that sort of aggression may have resulted in some small rents before price finally broke up and out of the channel.

I've spent the week visiting my Mum who's unwell, so not much of a chance to trade. Just the one entry with a BE result. See you all next week, hopefully more of an opportunity!
