Afternoon,

another tight range day, highly frustrating but it is what it is... That said still came out in + pips so cant really complain that much..

Trade pics attached

As i am writing this GU and EU have both had nice drops on m1, just a shame neither gave a set up to my rules.... sigh

evening,

i haven't posted for a while, mainly because i have had no trades to post for a couple of reasons that i wont bore you with.

Today in the chat room Zain asked a question on how i trade seeds. Apologies Zain but i have lost the pm window so can't remember the exact wording but hopefully what follows will answer you.

so for seeds, i have 4 simple entry rules that i use to trade them. These are

1. Seed prints on the current TF.
2. HTF alli open in the direction of the trade
3. current TF alli open in the direction of the trade
4. AO is the correct side of 0 line and has pulled back after the highest peak since the cross.

The pics attached show these 4 rules in action. I have reproduced the HTF alli on the chart using dotted lines to save me having to post 2 charts for each example (the red dotted line is the normal purple line from the indy we use).

Now these rules mean i pass on lots of seed candles but the ones i take are IMO the higher probability ones.

cheers
Grant

ps if that doesn't answer your question then please post it here and i'll answer it... :D

Hi Grant,
thats an awesome explanation for Blonks like me. Could you tell us how you show the Purple lines crossing over which is obviously the longer time frame you refer to.

morning Kooky,

i basically just shift up to the HTF chart, ie H4 for H1 seeds and use the mk1 eyeball to see what the alli is doing... easy enough as you ahve time to do that but when trading the m1 seeds i have an m5 chart permanently open next to the m1 chart so can see the position of that alli...

cheers

Morning,

I have seen from several posts on the forum that some of you have shifted focus to trading the DAX. All i can say is thank you. EU has an adr of 50 ish pips which for the type of trading we do on m1 is not enough.

DAX on the other hand is in the 150 ish region which is just perfect for the mini trends we look for. It also doesn't open til FO so the pesky Asian traders cant nick some of the fun and what fun it is.

To the returning members who are worried about info overload with seeds and fruit, don't worry the flow chart still works just fine. The pic attached shows 2 of the 4 trades i took yesterday using the flow chart only.

cheers

Well said Grant - nice to see some charts. :)

Could you clarify what money management you are using at the moment?

EDIT: I think Immy just answered my question in his journal!
