AIMS Trade Manager VE_AIMS
Hi
Is it possible to add another field to the VE_AIMS EA say "Track by comment" so that it manages only the trades we would like it to manage. If this field is set to blank, then it manages all the trades (as it is now), If it has a specific value say "AIMS" it only manages the trades with the specific comment.
I have an account in which I run few automated EAs in addition to my manual trading. I would like to use your EA to control only my AIMS trades.
Or is there any other way I can control this?
Thanks
Premalatha

Re: AIMS Trade Manager VE_AIMS
Hi
i am not programmer unfortunately. if there any one here may be they can help. For now this is what it is. My main purpose of using this is 1. I can move pending order quickly, 2. I have a setup Stop Loss which I move to the relevant aims level quickly. The target point is not useful to me.
cheers

Re: AIMS Trade Manager VE_AIMS
No problem Immy. I hope some day I can get rid of all the automated EAs and just depend on my manual trading AIMS..
Is there a short video on how to use the VE_AIMS? May be I'm not finding its real use.
THANKS FOR ALL YOU HAVE SHARED WITH US - JUNIOR AIMSTERS
Cheers

Hi Immy
I am having some trouble with the trade manager. It just doesn't want to move my pending order points or stop loss levels. After double clicking the relevant line I can move it OK but it just doesn't do anything. Any help appreciated.

Re: AIMS Trade Manager VE_AIMS
Please check at the top of your mt4 in Options, Tools, Expert Advisors.... that all the left boxes are ticked.. and the indented boxes are unticked.
Ensure the Expert Advisors button is green. To check or edit the defaults, turn that button off and press F7 (you may need to keep it pressed for a few seconds, or even change the chart timeframe and try again). If your broker quotes 5 decimal points, you will need an extra zero... so for example, for a default stop of 20 pips, you would need to use 200. Remember to turn the button green again.
Only use the EA on one chart.
Double click on a line to turn on the little grab handle far right... drag to desired position.... then better to turn drag handle off. Check price in terminal has changed.
If it doesn't work, then I suggest downloaded it afresh, and starting over. I know of two people that worked for.
Your broker may limit how close to current price you can drag. It's a good idea to ask them.
Hope that helps.

Re: AIMS Trade Manager VE_AIMS
Hi Lyn
Thanks for your reply, I have tried everything I can think of to get this damned thing to work properly but it still keeps the old values and then flips them about. I have tried 3 different computers, 2 different brokers, and every combination of settings but it still doesn't function right.
In the navigator the VE_AIMS is greyed out on my display is it the same on yours?
Thanks
Arthur

Hi avh101
It may sound like a daft question, but have you set EA to trade live on the common tab?
right click on the chart.
go to expert adviser, then properties.
check common tab set to trade live.
Cheers

Re: AIMS Trade Manager VE_AIMS
Hi David
Yes I've done that, I'm completely at a loss one this one but it is really screwing up my ability to trade properly. I'm reasonably familiar with EA's I've even had a few coded for me in the past but I just can't see what's going on here at all.
Cheers

Re: AIMS Trade Manager VE_AIMS
Arthur,
Are you sure you've only got VE_AIMS open on one chart?
If you have M1, M5, M30, H1 open for instance, make sure VE_AIMS is only open on the chart you trade on i.e M1 presumably
