The Snowman Journal aka John

Unread post by The_Snowman »

All righty then, here I am, I come & I go so no telling how long I can or will post here.

I see everybody is now trading the DAX, so when in Rome...

First good trade here, with Axitrader as broker in Australia, this trades as 1 CFD, about $1.50 per whatever, seems like 100 points, don't think they are pips (?)

And it goes higher, catch you later, John

:)

WOW, just watching the local Aussie SPI 200 today, this is the futures of the ASX stock market.

It opens 10 mins before stocks, then stocks open alphabetically which take about 10 mins.

According to SKY News Business, they were expecting a big jump after a good day in USA / DOW etc.

Not yet 45 mins and is has moved 39 points out of average 61 point - see yellow arrow

I have to go out but will be interested to see later when this recovers and if tradable signal, cheers, John

I'm back, and there it is, has reached the full average daily range as shown by the top & bottom red lines on 15 mins chart

Seems like just go short and hang on! it would be hard to actually lose any points :)

The thing that makes me money in trading is when I "Objectively Follow my Trading Plan".

I understand that I can't catch all the moves or all the signals but my objective is to catch THE VALID SIGNALS & ONLY the Valid Signals.

The fact that you have a BDC candle on Daily does not , in my books, mean look for shorts on m1/m5. we look for shorts or longs as and when the m1/m5 strategy gives us signals ! accordingly. A daily cande has almost 1440 candles, and out of those we trade around 300 or so candles. whatever happens to the rest of 1100 candles i don't care. all I need is a setup within those first 120 candles (LO 2 hrs). Just my opinon mate...

meanwhile have a great weekend

Just for the record, an example of trading the Non Farm Payroll news on the 1st Friday of each month.

Initially price drops, but then consolidates and returns to where it was, giving several AIMS signals

Way too late in the day for me...
