SIMPLE BUT POWERFUL TECHNIQUE
LET ME GIVE YOU ONE SIMPLE BUT VERY POWERFUL TECHNIQUE

What is the Secret of Successful Trading?
The Consistent Pursuit of DS1
The thing that makes me money in trading is when I "Objectively Follow my Trading Plan".
I understand that I can't catch all the moves or all the signals but my objective is to catch THE VALID SIGNALS & ONLY the Valid Signals.
My Deathbed Advice "5:1 Reward to Risk Ratio".

Re: SIMPLE BUT POWERFUL TECHNIQUE
Not 100% sure but ....
We're looking for a very impulsive move with several bars without a retrace,
hence several impulsive consecutive bars outside of the box, and I note the AO
waves are symmetrical on each of the blue arrow occasions, and Gator must be open
But only trade 'when 5 x HTF is like so'?
Do you mean only enter if the 5 x HIGHER TF has exactly the same pattern, in
other words a very impulsive move on both TFs exactly as described above?
---------------
just re read your diagram again. Firstly you say 'when 5 x HTF is like so'
but you also say start looking for setup on 5 x LOWER TF also.
So if 5M is your current TF, do you check that both 30M and 1M are 'Like so' ie
moving impulsively in the same direction?
Or would this qualify?

Re: SIMPLE BUT POWERFUL TECHNIQUE
It means if you're trading on H1 make sure H5 (but there is not h5 so h4) is not sideways .e.g. sideways is not that bad but it better be not stuck within a tight range. Lets suppose you're trading m5 and you look at M30 (but I like h1 so I use H1 instead of m30 for m5 trades) and gator is sleeping, aims box is iwthin a tight range. don't trade m5. let it breakout. when it breaks on m30, thats when you receive the licences to look for setups on m5. No do not check m1 as well. Just current time frame and 5 x higher time frame. E.g. Look at GU and EU Weekly charts. for the past 6 months, all you'd do on D1 charts would be to look for any short setup be it Fruit or S1, it appears and you'd pounce on it.kiravon wrote:Not 100% sure but ....

Slide 1 And the moment price closed below gator and aims box on h1, you'd have a licence to trade any short setup on any time frame lower than h1.

Re: SIMPLE BUT POWERFUL TECHNIQUE
Thanks, it's clear now. I did a very quick back check on DAX Daily/H4
quickly found one fruit and two S2 breakouts on H4 when the
Daily met your criteria. Results were +190, +56, +121

Re: SIMPLE BUT POWERFUL TECHNIQUE
Just a quick update transferred from my journal thread.
I'm amazed there isn't far more interest in this system!
SIMPLE BUT POWERFUL TECHNIQUE
Closed trades since Yesterday 5th May
GBPUSD Short Already Closed for -6
EURJPY Short Already closed for -7
EURUSD Short Close above H1 Blue,Closed at -14
USDJPY Long Close below AIMS Closed at -13
GBPAUD Short Closed for +159
CHFJPY Closed for +8
DAX Closed for 838 + 168 + 137 + 61 = +1,204 pips
USDCHF +80
GBPAUD -20
CHFJPY +52
Dax +3
USDCHF +55
CHFJPY -37
CHFJPY - 15
GBPUSD -3
Total +1,452 pips
1,452 pips is not bad for two days work
but of course
+838 of the DAX trade had been running for over two weeks
But still leaves +614 pips genuinely made in two days. I think
every trade has a real time screenshot.
My initial impression is that it is a very good system, very
simple and can yield some very big profits as we can see.
Unfortunately it can be time consuming unless you set and forget
or leave a trailing stop. Neither option is ideal
I won't be able to trade this system during the summer but september
to May definitely - Its probably just about the best system I've ever
trialed, particularly on the higher time frames and quite frankly
when you've spent a few profitable hours on it as I have and then
return to trading 1M it feels like you are crossing the Atlantic in a
storm in a canoe after sailing in the safety of a large ocean going cruise
ship!
I'm amazed there isn't far more interest in this system!

Re: SIMPLE BUT POWERFUL TECHNIQUE
Michael there's probably plenty of interest, "I could only dream of pip tallies like that" but I for one am not exactly sure what you're seeing for an entry, and anytime I've tried 1Hr I get absolutely screwed. For me it needs to be pretty SIMPLE, Not being the sharpest Tool in the box,I struggle with the normal short daily stuff without having this running around in my head as well, but then perhaps that's my problem. Maybe I should scrap it all and try to get a handle on this longer term stuff, Having said all that I love your journal and your enthusiasm, they're a breath of fresh air and they give me HOPE, thankyou. kooky

Re: SIMPLE BUT POWERFUL TECHNIQUE
Kooky, may I ask can you see the setups in hindsight when you see the charts? I mean when you open the chart, see a big run that started from a setup. Can you spot the setup like that? If you can spot the good setups in hindsight, may I offer you a solution where you simulate such situations. Simulate the setup until the setup is melted to your brains. After all in live trading we have to spot the setup as it's forming. Fruit trading is simple and needs only one timeframe and simulating can be done with any simulating solutions. Not just few setups here and there, but take for example few months period in H1 and simulate those. In simulating you can rewind back and trade the setup again and again. Be consistent. At least I got big aha moments when simulating. Also confidence boosts and you can train your eye with fast forward. Just throwing some ideas and hoping it could help...kooky wrote:For me it needs to be pretty SIMPLE

Re: SIMPLE BUT POWERFUL TECHNIQUE
Thanks for kind words Kooky, and its true that what is
blatantly obvious to one person is not for another.
I still have absolutely no idea about Elliott wave
even when others see a perfect indication of a wave 5
I just can't see it! its like a psycho analyst's ink blot test
to me, as though people just see what they want to see
A system has to resonate with us personally to enthuse us
and I think thats the important thing - how it affects our
mental outlook and expectations
It is a game of psychology after all
blatantly obvious to one person is not for another.
