Joel's Journal
Hi fellow AIMers,
To keep it short and simple, I've been trading for over 10 years.
Thanks for anyone who stopped by to read this. I hope this is the beginning of a very fruitful (here's that word AIMers seem to like) journey to a more successful and very relatively stress-free trading.
Later everyone!
Joel

Re: Joel's Journal
Thanks Immy and Jasmien!
I'm setting everything up so I can start this journal. Should be soon!
I actually did four test trades to make sure the indicators and the ATM were functioning as they should.

Re: Joel's Journal
Trade: B1-T1
Date: 8/23/2018
Pair / TF: EURCAD H1
Signal Type: S1
Flowchart Checklist
Dot β Blue
Alligator β Closed
Dot inside AIMS β Yes
Purple Line correct β Yes
AO close to ZL β Yes
Exit close enough β Yes
Is HTF AIMS too close β No
Other Considerations
Price outside of HTF gator β Yes
Box close to Purple Line β Yes
Thoughts and Feelings: This was a signal I saw in the Slack Live Trading room. Of course, I didn't trade it blindly. I went through the flowchart checklist and determined this setup met all the conditions for a Setup 1. Also, recalling Immy's feedback in the chat on the other day, I determined that the box is reasonably close enough to the Purple Line and the price at H4 is above the Gator so the movement is strongly trending.
DS: 1
Total DS: 1/1 (100%)
R:R β 1:1 with no BE
Trade Outcome: +1R

Re: Joel's Journal
Trade: B1-T2
Date: 8/24/2018
Pair / TF: CADJPY H1
Signal Type: S2
Flowchart Checklist
Dot β Blue
Alligator β Open
Dot inside AIMS β Yes
New AIMS level - Yes
Purple Line correct β Yes
AO close to ZL β Yes
Exit close enough β Yes
Is HTF AIMS too close β No
Other Considerations
Price outside of HTF gator β Yes
Box close to Purple Line β Yes
Thoughts and Feelings: My first signal of my own (not from the live trading room). I went through the flowchart checklist and determined this setup met all the conditions for a Setup 2. In this case, the Gator didn't cross. The box where the blue dot appeared was initially too big, so I waited until a smaller box appeared where I put a PO above the level.
DS: 0
Total DS: 1/2 (50%)
R:R β 1:1 with no BE
Trade Outcome: +1R
UPDATE: Looking back on this trade, I realized I did not follow the rules to the T. AO needed to cross the ZL but it didn't in this case. I changed from DS1 to DS0.

Re: Joel's Journal
Trade: B1-T3
Date: 8/29/2018
Pair / TF: USDJPY H1
Signal Type: S2 LONG
Flowchart Checklist
Dot β Green
Alligator β Open
Dot inside AIMS β No
New AIMS level - No
Purple Line correct β Yes
AO close to ZL β Yes
Exit close enough β Yes
Is HTF AIMS too close β Yes
Other Considerations
Box close to Purple Line β Yes
Price outside of HTF gator β Yes
Thoughts and Feelings: I had noticed it was a possible LONG trading pattern with the clear Wave 3 up and and then Wave 4 consolidation that hugged the purple line but never really crossing it. I went through the flowchart checklist and determined this setup met all the conditions for a Setup 2. In this case, a green dot appeared at the close of the dot candle. Normally I would wait to see if there will be a fresh AIMS level but looking to the left are two boxes which act as resistance levels and they were close to each other. Not being sure which one to use to put the PO, I went up to H4 and found the AIMS level to be identical to the higher level of the two on the current TF, so I put PO just above it. The bottom level was approximately 20 pips away so the box from the top to the bottom was reasonably tight enough. I felt these considerations were appropriate for this S2 situation, although not exactly ideal.
DS: 0
Total DS: 1/3 (33%)
R:R β 1:1 with no BE
Trade Outcome: +1R
UPDATE: Changed to DS0 due to Immy's feedback. I did not trade according to the plan.
