Hi,

Welcome to my trading journal, I'm John, im very excited to be here and am looking forward to learning S1 initially then later getting my head around the other systems here.

I have been trading (unsuccessfully) for just over 2.5 years, I have fallen foul to almost all of the classic rookie mistakes.
One of my worst habits was system hopping, infact I don't think I've ever taken 20 trades using the same system.

THIS CHANGES NOW!

I'm glad I have found AIMS, I've been a member for just over a month, I've read and watched all the info and so now its time to start putting this into action.

Previously I have been too focused on winning and the money, hoping and dreaming, putting my all my eggs into the one basket only to feel disappointed.

Over the last 12 months I have been trying to change my mind set and I have focused on my other business (property and Bnb)
its now making decent money, and I feel I am at the stage, where I can let go of my emotions with my trading, with the help of AIMS I can take my trading forward, concentrating on the process rather than profits and play the long game.

I am still working on my trading plan, im going on holiday next week so this will be a good opportunity to really think about it and get something down in writing, here is an outline in the mean time.

- Pairs: Dax Only
- Time Frame: M1 (M5)
- I will trade 2h at LO & NEO when I get the time, I will prioritise over other work when possible.
- Only setup 1
- R:R = 1:1
- Max Box size - 15 points (I may revise this in time when I have gained some experience.)
- Exit rules: I will exit at 1R
- I will trade this plan 3 months, or until I finish the T20 (5 batches, 20 trades per batch with DS at least 80%)

I will be using a spread betting (DEMO) account, the spread is as good as any other broker (1 point) and it comes with a UK tax free advantage once I am profitable.

Objective is to achieve at least 80% of Trading Discipline Score (Based on T20 Principle) per batch of 20 Trades.

When I have successfully completed the 5 batches of 20, I will fund a live account, initially with small deposit then increase month by month.

5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking The Trade: Perfect set up all criteria met, new S1 appeared so did not know to reset pending, but it was taken really quickly so didnt have time anyway.

5. Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking The Trade: All looked good on paper, set up correct according to flow chart. This was a second attempt as the first signal breached the lower box.
6.Comments and Trades After Exiting the Trade: Stopped out, sought feedback from chat room, although followed flowchart, there was no fresh cross of AO, not much of a pullback and purple was a bit far way.

Comments and Feelings at the Time of Taking The Trade: I perhaps new this was not a good trade, the box was 21 points which I stated I would not take if bigger than 20, I tried taking the signal before but I have just got my ATM set up and some settings were wrong, I figured it out and took this one. I later found out that its a public holiday in the US.
6.Comments and Trades After Exiting the Trade: I knew it was a mistake but let it run, I could have got out at BE but that was not in the plan so let it run, it only went 6 point above my entry and dropped, lesson learned.
