Bupesh24's Journey with Amsters

Unread post by bupesh24 »

Trading is a Journey, where my journey has been quite long and it hasn’t been fruitful.

I joined iTradesAIMS on 20th October 2020, since then I have been reading the course, which gives lot of learning and hope. I have embarked to create the Trading Journal and will follow the wave of creating Trading Plan.

This is the start for My Journey with iTradeAIMS, where I wish to make it fruitful with my fellow forumers help and advice.

Can anybody guide me about this?
In Setup ebook it says that for m1 it should not be more than 15 pips, so what are limits for 5 min, 15min, 1hr, 4hr etc.

Hi Bupesh
The question is unclear I'm afraid. What should be 15 pips? Are you referring to the Box Size?

edited: The box size for each time frame depends on the volatility of that pair.
As a general rule 10-15 pips works for M1 charts.

But e.g. trading the DAX would require 20 at times. But when volatility rises even that will be small. and without volatility often too big. So this is a good number to start with.

For H1 major currencies I've noticed that during normal volatility periods  20-30 pips seem to be ok for USD/JPY and SWISSY even the EU at times... while GU and GJ might require 30-50 pips box.

The point is that box size is a relative term. There isn't a fixed number. The trick is to assess that the box size is visually smaller than the boxes to the left. With time it gets easier. It's a visual pattern.

the correct box size is the box size that allows you to have at least a 2R trade between entry and TZ1

As per option 2B
Pairs for hourly chart (H1)
E/U, G/U, U/J, U/CA, A/U, U/CH, N/U
[Note 4 of the above should be enough]

With this option is it OK to use Method of Trading M1 off h1 charts?
