Minsk T20 - Banana 1H
Batch 2 - T1
4-3-2022
Banana 1H
BTC-USD Short
From Setup 1 over to the Banana.
I use TradingView so I don't have the indicator, sadly. So I have to look for Banana signals myself.
I hope I understood correctly what exactly should be the banana signal.
Please correct me if I marked wrong in the chart, or have wrong answers on the 7 questions.
The 7 questions answered:
There is an impulse move. Marked with a green rectangle in the chart.
Pullback is good.
Impulse move is not too climactic.
The pullback is not impulsive.
This is the first pullback.
S/R levels are not near.
It's a breakout of the range marked at 42.858,50 purple line (Europe notation of decimals).
Banana signal is marked with a pink dot.
Put a PO with SL, based on the high and low of the candle marked with pink dot.
Target = 3R
It took another pullback to reach 3R. I just let it run until it gets at 3R.
I marked a 2nd Banana signal for the 2nd pullback.
Price went about 4% down during this trade.
I think it's DS1, I hope someone can review my trade.
Edited to add:
A day later, it's 5-3-2022 today. I check the charts and I see 3R got beaten by miles!
Should I have let the trade run? Our be happy with 3R? I suppose when you have time to check every hour you could let it run, but 3R is a great profit.
Edited 10-3-2022
Checked on the 5x lower timeframe (15m) if this was a Setup1. Then you have good confirmation for the Banana on the 1H timeframe.
This looks a good Setup1. Breaks out of tradingrange to downside.
Checkup tells that this was a solid Banana trade.

Re: Minsk T20 - Banana 1H
Batch 2 - T2
5-3-2022
Banana 1H
XRP-USD Long
Marked the levels. It's weekend, so anything can happen. XRP is doing a nice move up, completely out of tune with BTCright now.
The 7 questions answered:
There is an impulse move. 3 impulse candles, marked with a green rectangle in the chart.
Pullback is ok, 3 candles and it pierces 10 EMA (yellow).
Impulse move is not too climactic.
The pullback is not impulsive.
This is the first pullback.
S/R levels are not near.
It's a pullback after a swinglow.
Banana signal is marked with a pink dot.
Put a PO with SL, based on the high and low of bear candle before the candle marked with pink dot. As crypto is very volatile I wanted some more wiggle room than the Banana candle woud have given me.
Target = 3R
3R hit easily. Exit.
Could have had way more if stayed in.
Price went up about 2.4% during this trade.
QUESTION:
At the moment of me placing a Banana signal the 10 EMA is pointing up, but the 20 EMA is still pointing down. EMA's have not yet crossed. Is this a valid Banana signal?
DS1
total DS: 1/2 = 0,5
Edited 10-3-2022
Checkup if this was a valid Banana, check the 5x lower timeframe (15m) and see if there is a Setup1.
No, at best it would have been a Setup2, breakout with open alligator. And to not trade against Purple, trade should have been taken later than I did in the Banana 1H. It would only have gotten to 2R, not 3R.
SO because it's not a Setup1, I change DS1 to DS0.

BTC-USD Long
Marked the levels. It's still weekend, so anything can happen.
The 7 questions answered:
There is an impulse move. 3 impulse candles, marked with a pink rectangle in the chart.
Pullback is good, I put 3 banana signals in the chart, every time I replace my PO. At the 3rd candle it pierces 10 EMA (yellow).
Impulse move is not too climactic.
The pullback is not impulsive.
This is the first pullback.
S/R levels are near. There are 2 levels downwards that are near. Green thick lines.
It's a pullback after a swinglow.
Banana signals are marked with a pink dot.
Put a PO with SL, based on the high and low of bear candle before the candle marked with pink dot. I shift the pending order according to each new Banana signal. PO gets an entry after the 3rd banana.
Target = 3R
SL to entry when price gets at 1R, Sl to 1R when price hits 2R.
And then I let it run for hours and it hits the SL at 1R at the candle with the pink arrow.
So 1R. Could have been 2R if that would have been my target.
DS0 for this trade. Because of the nearby levels downwards and I didnt wait for price to clear those.

Banana 1H
YFI-USD Long
Marked the levels.
The 7 questions answered:
There is an impulse move. A series of impulse candles, marked with a pink rectangle in the chart.
Pullback is good enough, 1 candle. Placed a banana signal. Next candle pierced 10 EMA and hit PO-entry.
Impulse move is not too climactic.
The pullback is not impulsive.
This is the first pullback.
S/R levels are nearish, but enough to get at least 2R.
It's a pullback at most likely will break out of the range.
Banana signal is marked with a pink dot.
Put a PO with SL, based on the high and low of bear candle before the candle marked with pink dot.
Target = 3R, but I will trail SL with R levels to get more hopefully.
Got stopped out at 5R, candle with pink arrow.
Edited: This is in a trading range. So DS0.

Re: Minsk T20 - Banana 1H
What's the fascination with crypto? FOREX offers much better charts and markets... more reliable and backed by BIG FOREX BROKERS And PROP FIRMS.... Cryto requires a lot more money, no leverage.... just my 2 cents
What is the Secret of Successful Trading?
The Consistent Pursuit of DS1
The thing that makes me money in trading is when I "Objectively Follow my Trading Plan".
I understand that I can't catch all the moves or all the signals but my objective is to catch THE VALID SIGNALS & ONLY the Valid Signals.
My Deathbed Advice "5:1 Reward to Risk Ratio".

Crypto is very easy to get in to. You only need an exchange and you can trade. The price movements are sometimes crazy as it's not regulated. It's in my eyes nothing more than liquidity hunting by market makers. So you can win big or lose big. And you can use leverage. Look at Bybit for instance, I think up to 100x.
For Forex you need a broker, you need MT4, and you need to understand all that. And I don't right now. That's what's been keeping me away from Forex.
Just yesterday a chatted with Tom about broadening my horizon and getting into Forex because it's less eratic in the charts.
So I am actually looking at brokers right now. Any recommendations for a broker? And I need to learn the MT4 stuff.
I guess I will join in Forex in short time.
