Re: Grants 1% template
2hrs LO and 2 Hrs NY session if traded regularly without missing would be considered Full Time Trade. More hours even more.
The probability of hitting good trades during the above mentioned hours is great. (its subjective not like I've done a scientific research on it) LOL
1% a day can be achieved with trading only 3 days per day. More if taken based on correct principles and with patience and discipline could mean even upto 5% a day. But if you're really interested in making more than 1-2 % per day then look at the 4th chapter. Increasing your return on investment. !
cheers

Re: Grants 1% template
Highlander,
if you can get 6 hours every trading in front of the charts then i would say you are full time....
i have a full time job, which works a shift system so i have whole days where i cant get in front of the charts thus i class myself a part time trader.
as for % returns for me as a part timer, it depends on a lot of factors, ie initial risk etc..
using 13 pips as 1% i try and make 1% per on the sessions i get to trade... obviously some days are better and some are worse but 1% per session has $10000 into a $250000 in 322 sessions...
322 sessions at 2 per week is just around 3 years.
as a full time trader i dont know and wouldnt like to guess at the average monthly % figure, however Imran is trading my rules for December (not the best month) and it will give us an idea as to what a full time trader can make ...
hope this helps

Re: Grants 1% template
Thanks for the info,it's just that I read somewhere that if you make 5% every day in 15 days you will double your money and I was wondering how doable that is.Even 1% a day 5 days a week is way above any investment that you could make!!!???
But I am here to learn and not trying to be smart,if possible I would like to make a full time income from trading, which would free up time to travel etc I think solid grounding comes first
Alasdair.

Re: Grants 1% template
You got that Right Alasdair!
When I think about anything higher than 1% I have to apply mind techniques so that mind accepts it otherwise I get a straight forward rejection. 1% a day is not inevitable. I have been doing it the whole year and so is Grant even as a part time trader. So yes it is possible and yes 10% a month is very modest figure for this system. Once you know how to trade the sky is the not the limit!
cheers
