John's Journal
Hi all, I taking your advise and starting a journal. It is a great way to get advice from other traders.
I also going to steal Grant.s template and PDF format for attaching trades, hope it is not copyrighted.
I was going to start trading next year but I got excited and traded last night. 1 winner and one looser, silly me should have been 2 winners as on the first trade I moved my stop liss to tight. Still 0.8% profit is okay with me.

Re: John's Journal
Hi Jayvee.
Congratulations on starting your own journal. A journal is the easiest fastest most effective way to learn to trade. i'd suggest taking pictures and posting them here instead of the pdf format. That way one can easily see the picture and reply. Grant does that because he used to do his filing like so before he started his journal here. IMHO>
Happy Trading
cheers

Re: John's Journal
Hi John
just be aware of the size of the aims box at the time of the set up. I have that aims at 15 pips, so it was too many for me.
also there were a lot of AIMS levels to the left that were just below your entry...
i hope i don't sound like a school master.... lol
Grant
ps, i have just traded a set up 1 at 1147 UK time (entry at 1.3023). managed 13 pips (1%)... hope you took this one as well...

Re: John's Journal
Hi John / Grant
I rejected the setup you took John as the AIMS box was too big, but interested in your comment Grant re the next entry which I also rejected as AIMS box was 13 pips (038-025) and the overnight low was at 022 on my chart so curious as to what you saw differently about the second entry over the first one.
Thanks
Mike

Re: John's Journal
Hi Mike,
Under 15 pips is ok for aims size,
my low was 23.8 so PO at 23 was under..
cheers

Thanks Grant, looks like we had a different level from our respective brokers but at least my thinking was sound

Re: John's Journal
Closed on green line but price moved up another 6 pips before it was executedo =4.5 for this one. Would have been +1.5 if close order was executed faster.
John.
