Unread post by Herbert »

Hi. i just took my first AIMS trade. Pic attached with info. Comments/recommendations appreciated. (wd)
i was tempted to take the previous aims break but was uncomfortable with alligator blue entering late into the box.

Just a follow-up of trade above with some additional scenario around it. Attemting to see what is the rinse/repeat duty cycle for this market time-slot. =p~
Your comments/insights welcome.

Hey Jeff. Since the initial impulse beforehand and a groggy but not sleeping alligator, i consider this setup 2.
Looking at 10sec elliot, the AO high and w5 divergence would confirm that.

This morning at Frankfurt open i was scanning for a AIMS2 trade but did not take it. :-?
Your input would be appreciated.
(Note: i do not try too much to find 1/2 or other waves, just the setup, but like to understand which wave i am in so i can expect behaviour)

Since we had significant movement during the asian session, I attempted to see what wave structure was preceding. See 5min chart.
Thus this mornings rally kicking off before frankfurt open i saw as w5, but 1min did not allow aims1 setup on 1min.

I then ecpected a retrace to formulate aims 2. The blue/yellow/red (blue my prelim target..12 pips) lines are my pending order manager, not placed yet, in plan mode. that is how it stayed....
AO was not close to zl so i hesitated. I wil have to look at aims notes to see possible behaviour of what i assume a w5 abc. Seems momentum was too strong at b???

Would any have taken a trade here? Is this considered an aggressive entry??
Thanks
Herbert

Hi Herbert

I have sat and watched this morning slightly frustrated to see such good move but no setup.

As I saw it there was a possible setup short but the there was no fresh cross of AO so I declined - this would have been a rent.

The first long setup 1 was into purple, and all future breaks had an AO that for me was too far from zl so again I declined.

Just the way it goes sometimes.

Hopefully we will see a retrace and get a setup for the wave 5 long on 1 min.

Cheers

Mike
