What are the best times to trade?

Unread post by immy »

It is a very important questions.

The thing that keeps your charts alive is Ticks! Just like we are made of cells and cells are made of atoms and molecules, the charts are made of 'Ticks'.

The more you have em the bigger it gets. From my humble experience we get the most ticks during these times.

Frankfurt/London Session 7am UK - 10am UK then New York Session - 12.45pm UK until the end of London Session, lets call it 5pm UK. I stop trading at 5pm. Markets may or may not move but I dont move myself!

I suggest everyone has a set routine of trading and stick to it. 2 hours London Open and/or 2 hours NY or lets make it 3-4 for NY. If you get something trade it, if not walk away and come back.

Another thing, I see people making 6 7 even 8 trades. There is no need to trade that often. There are many successful seasoned traders who follow the rule of 3 strikes and out. I like that too. All we want is 1% a day. If you've hit it walk away. If you still want to play then don't over do it. Don't try to win the rent back. Rent is never won back. Profits are 'CREATED'. Stop trying to 'Recover' losses, focus on 'Creating' Profits. If you focus on 'avoiding' or 'recovering' losses the law states that you may end up 'creating' more of that. Everything is energy an that includes your thoughts too. The driving force of your life is your mind , your thoughts. Your energy flows where your thoughts are! period

The thing that makes me money in trading is when I "Objectively Follow my Trading Plan".

I understand that I can't catch all the moves or all the signals but my objective is to catch THE VALID SIGNALS & ONLY the Valid Signals.
