Michael A's Journal
Hello AIMSters -
Immy suggested that the best way to get help and fine tune my trading process was to begin a journal. OK ... so I've come to grips with the idea that the only way to progress is to open myself up to public ridicule here in the forum. Alright guys, I can take it (I think) - so let me have it. I am determined to work my up those 38 Steps.
Thanks for taking a look and making any comments that will help.

Re: Michael A's Journal
I felt great after yesterday's trade but today didnt go so well. It was a very choppy day with no Red News for the EUR-USD so price remained kind of range bound. I still thought I had some good signals so I placed 4 trades. Three of them were losers and my 4th was a Break Even +2. I dont think I made any mistakes - but you tell me.

Re: Michael A's Journal
Hi Michael I have just set up my journal this week too, first of all well done! I really think it's the way forward, after just a few days of browsing other people's journals I have picked up some great tips!
'I should have gotten out as soon as the Red Dot appeared but I thought I would give it a bit more room to move. That would have saved me some precious pips. -12.3 on this one.'
Trade what you see & what the system tells us, try leave the emotions outside. Take the positives - you realised yourself where you should have exited & won't make that mistake again. Well done. See attatched file grant set up if you haven't got it already, I keep it up on another screen whilst I am trading and it keeps me out of a lot of trades that I would have traded previously.
Cheers Tom

Re: Michael A's Journal
Today was a much better day for me. I entered 3 trades with 1 loser and 2 winners. Im starting to feel the rhythm of the market a little better. The 1 minute chart is still a bit fast for me but the iFractal indicator I saw on Grant's Journal helped me considerably today. It makes knowing the PO entry point much faster without having to search with the crosshair tool on MT4. Charts and my comments are below.

Re: Michael A's Journal
HI Michael,
welcome to your own journal, you'll find it interesting in a few months going back and seeing just how you have changed as a trader..
If i may a little tip, when placing your trades onto a chart, bring up the history in the terminal window on your platform and click and drag a trade onto the chart. It will show you (us) with arrows and a dotted line where and when you entered and exited.
Again anything you are unsure of just ask, if Imran or i dont get to it there are plenty of good traders here that will give their insights..
Many pips to you
Grant

Hi Grant -
Thanks so much for your review and that cool little tip. You just saved me quite a bit of time on graphically displaying the plays on the charts.
I do appreciate your help and look forward to moving up in the ranks.

Hi Michael
You might want to try Steve's multi level indicator, it shows the M1, M5, m15 and H1, levels on the M1 chart, very useful to see other levels as well as current one to set orders from

Re: Michael A's Journal
Well another fun day at Rancho Malerio. I wanted to end the week with a good winner but that wasnt to be. Didnt sleep well last night and awoke spontaneously at 2:30 am EST. So I figured I would get up and trade the London Open at 3 am. Took one loss, went back to bed at 5:00 am, missed the play of the day at 6:30, got back up at 8:30 am and took another small loss. Could my timing or my sleep schedule have been any worse. Shake it off and get your head right for next week!
