[Download] AIMS Waves v5.2 - Optional Upgrade
Hi All
We've developed an upgrade, for those of you who don't like too much orange in your AIMS Waves.
AIMS Waves 5.2 has variable orange depending on the prevailing volatility. During quiet sessions, such as Asian, volatility can be low and so the definition of 'Close to Zero' may be less. During big moves ... well, you guessed it.
We've also added vertical lines to show where there is a cross of the zero line - you can select whether to show them or not. Some might welcome this option on its own and not be too fussed about the variable orange.
Options are:-
VariableClosetoZL - default set to true. If you'd rather not use the new feature, set this to false.
MaxClosetoZL - default is 0.0006. For less orange, reduce this number. For higher timeframes, you will need to increase it.
MinClosetoZL - default is 0.0002. Pretty much as for above but if, for example, the program computes 'Close to Zero' for the trading period to be 0.0001, any values above that, up to MinClosetoZL, will still be shown as orange.
CrossVline - default is true. If you don't want the vertical lines for cross of zero line, set this to false.
VlineColor - default is silver. Only applicable if CrossVline is set to true.
VlineStyle - default is 2. Only applicable if CrossVline is set to true. Have a play to see what you prefer - enter from 0 to 4.
If you're not interested in the new options or just confused by it all, I'd recommend you stick with V5.1.
Please remember though ... AIMS Entry Alert, on the 1 minute, has a FilterAOValue default of 0.0006, which we have found to work well. With variable orange, you may get a valid buy/sell alert whilst AIMS Waves is showing red or green bars. You can make a judgement call as to whether you want to trade the signal based on what the new AIMS Waves is showing you.
Happy trading
Steve

Thank you Steve for V5.2 and I completely respect your hard work and wouldn't share the indicator. I hope others here will have the understanding that you're doing this hard work for (AIMS traders) and if we want to continue to benefit from your hard work then we need to show our appreciation by respecting your wishes. ^:)^

Thanks Takin \m/ We've had to remove illegal copies of the AIMS System and latest indicators from about 4 websites this week, hence the copyright blah blah. Hey ho ... `for every event that occurs, there will follow another event whose existence was caused by the first, and this second event will be pleasant or unpleasant according as its cause was skillful or unskillful.' In other words: let karma deal the cards.takin wrote:Thank you Steve for V5.2 and I completely respect your hard work and wouldn't share the indicator. Hope you enjoy the new indy.

We need to do more testing yet (though early results are brilliant) and are cogitating over its release; plus I have an occasional wave 5 gremlin that needs to be zapped :crazy:incrediblenitin wrote:Hi Steve and Imran thanks a lot for ur hard work on Aims. Thanks again Steve. Your work is of exceptional high quality. (wd)
I noticed this innovation was also posted under advanced techniques, quite appropriately. There is a lot more kick to it than first glance reveals...(Handle with care
)
For now based on my skill level, i use the "AO all orange areas" as good reference to stay out of low volatility areas, or quiet times as you mentioned. A w1 "kick-off" from a "non-orange" AO peak gets my full attention.
Having the variable AO scale for orange certainly give me some ideas about wave degree/subwave id purposes.
I can already see a multi-coloured AIMS wave........
)
And thanks Immy, having a strong model foundation certainly allows stable trade idea vectors to formulate... :-c
