Hi All,
I currently use Alpari's spread betting account (tax Free), and I'm looking at changing to Pepperstone but they don't support spreadbetting, Could someone let me know If i need to declare this to the taxman and also what the tax % is for this.
Cheers
Roman

Re: Non spread betting account.
Who gives a shit about paying tax when we have just started trading and still learning how to trade and not yet completed a bloody winning year. Having said that, if you've been trading successfully and have done so for over a year. you may want to consult an accountant. :o3CHEROMEYS wrote:Hi All,

Re: Non spread betting account.
As I understand it you would have to do standard income tax if it is indeed your main living income, if not there would at least be capital gains tax involved on your asset so either way they will get you!
I don't know the details because I only do spreadbetting so I guess you would need to seek advice from an accountant as Immy said, if not speak to someone else who trades (profitable!) that way.

Hi Immy,
sorry My email wasn't worded that well 8-} , It was more of a hypothetical question really (it was a domo account I was looking at),and while looking at a pepperstone's types of account's and noticed that they didn't have a spread betting one, I'm nowhere near the level of you guys yet so it will be a long time before I have to worry about that sort of stuff ^:)^
That's for the advice ftsforex
